Statement
My work expresses what I find beautiful and of interest, mostly nature and landscapes. My recent body of tapestries and collage evolve from imagery collected on morning walks in Golden Gate Park. I work with string and yarn, ink, paper and glue to illustrate my experiences guided by initial photographs and further experimentation. I enjoy handling the materials and working within the constraints imposed by each practice. It is exciting to see both directions of the work continue to grow and inform each other. I am a long-time visual artist, weaver, and teacher; this background supports my learning, continued creating, and the strengthening of my voice.
